At the time of the Liberation of Paris in July 1944, some filmmakers and photographers recorded this important moment in their artistic work. Among them, Jules Dortes, a young photographer working for the editions Artaud developed nearly 250 shots. These photographs remained for nearly 70 years in his laboratory before being "rediscovered" by his children. His photographs complete the filming archives in a both intimate and generous way of showing the deliverance of Paris.
